Sapa Fasad 5050 SG - System Glazing

Insulated façade system with minimal exterior profile for an elegant look

Pictures & drawings

Here we present visualisations and drawings of the system. This gives a clear picture of the design, structure and functionality of the system.

Briefly about Sapa Fasad 5050 SG - System Glazing

5050 SG, System Glazing consists of insulated, 50 mm wide aluminium profiles. External glass holders are only 32 mm wide while internal frame profiles are 50 mm wide. The external glazing bearer is preferably mounted with countersunk screws which can be concealed with a cover cap. Seam for standard sealed 2-glass and 3-glass insulation panes. The profiles are designed to provide stability against design loads. The system can easily be supplemented with openable units. U-values for facade shall be reported for the whole facade.

Performance
SAPA 5050 SG is equipped with insulators which provides good insulation and stable support for the glass holders. The system has a profile depth of 25-220 mm and supports glass thicknesses between 26-51 mm. The insulating step is made of PVC, which improves the energy efficiency of the system. The system can be complemented with openable units for breakdown or flue gas evacuation.

Thermal performance
The system achieves a Ucw of 1.2 W/m²K, with glass Ug = 1.0 W/m²K and a profile share of 5 %.

Density performance
SAPA 5050 SG has high density performance with Class 4 airtightness according to EN12207 and rain density in class 9A according to EN12208.

Design
The system has a minimalist design and is primarily intended as exterior facadebut can also be fitted internally. It is a flexible solution that can be complemented with doors and/or windows from SAPA 2086, 1086 or 4074.

Low carbon footprint
The system contains aluminium from Hydro CIRCAL and REDUXA, which contributes to a low carbon footprint. Hydro CIRCAL consists of at least 75 % recycled, end-of-life construction products and has one of the lowest carbon footprints in the world with only 1.9 kg CO₂ per kg aluminium. Hydro REDUXA is made with renewable energy from water, wind and solar and has a maximum carbon footprint of 4.1 kg CO₂ per kg aluminium.
