Briefly about MC Glass Fire

This semi-structural façade system offers high fire safety and modern aesthetics with a smooth, fully glazed surface. With fire ratings up to EI120, fire-resistant aluminium profile inserts and Vetrotech fire-resistant glass, the system ensures maximum safety without compromising on design and architectural freedom. The ideal solution for buildings where both fire protection and visual appearance are crucial.

This is semi-structural facade systems is designed to create fire-resistant glass façades with EI30, EI60, EI90 and EI120 fire rating. The system combines safety and aesthetics through a smooth, fully glazed surface.

System characteristics:

  • Fire classification: EI30, EI60, EI90, EI120
  • Filling:
    • Vetrotech fire glass: 8 mm tempered glass /16 mm spacing / 25 mm Contraflam
    • Internal fire resistant glass pane
  • Fire protection measures:
    • Poles and beams filled with Aestuver fire protection cement from Xella
  • Mechanical construction:
    • Crossbeams attached to poles with two ø6 mm steel pins and one ø10 mm steel pin
    • Fire expanding tape in the joints of posts and crossbeams for extra protection
  • Insulation and sealing:
    • The space between the glass panes is filled with insulating material with thermal and fire protection properties
    • UV-resistant silicone is used to create a smooth, uniform façade surface
